Languages

At Greenside, we are proud to be a multilingual and multicultural community where language learning is celebrated across the school. All children from Year 1 to Year 6 learn French as part of our weekly curriculum, supported by LanguageNut to build vocabulary, confidence and communication skills in an engaging way. In EYFS, children explore a wide range of language-rich experiences through songs, stories, role-play and themed activities that introduce them to different languages and cultures. We also offer a Chinese club and provide immersive experiences across the curriculum to help children understand and celebrate the diverse world around them. At Greenside, we value and celebrate the many languages spoken by our pupils and families. Being able to communicate in more than one language is something we are incredibly proud of.
