Music

At Greenside, music is a joyful and essential part of our curriculum and school culture. Every child from Year 1 to Year 6 receives weekly music lessons delivered by a specialist teacher through our partnership with the Tri-Borough Music Hub. These lessons develop musical knowledge, technical skills and creativity, giving all children the opportunity to learn instruments, compose and perform.

Alongside our core curriculum offer, we work with iRock to give pupils the chance to play in their own rock bands. This fosters teamwork, builds confidence and nurtures a love for live performance. We also offer a range of extracurricular opportunities including choir, instrumental tuition and public performances throughout the year. These range from local recitals and assemblies to full-scale productions and seasonal shows.

Music at Greenside is inclusive, celebratory and vibrant. We believe every child is a musician, and we are proud to nurture musical talent, build cultural capital and provide rich experiences that stay with our pupils for life.
